"Halloween" is a timeless classic that continues to captivate audiences decades after its release. The film's genius lies in its simplicity: a masked killer stalks a group of teenagers on Halloween night. The tension builds relentlessly throughout the film, as the audience is kept on edge, never quite sure where the killer will strike next.
Director John Carpenter masterfully creates a chilling atmosphere through his use of suspenseful music, eerie lighting, and masterful camera work. The performances of Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence are superb, adding to the film's already powerful impact.
One of the most impressive aspects of "Halloween" is its lasting influence on the horror genre. The film set the standard for slasher movies, inspiring countless imitations and homages in the years since its release. However, none have quite captured the magic and terror of the original.
Overall, "Halloween" is a must-see for horror fans and film enthusiasts alike. It's a masterpiece of suspense and terror that has stood the test of time and continues to scare audiences to this day. A true classic deserving of its place in the pantheon of great horror films.

They wandered through the shambling shenanigans of the undead dating world and were lucky enough to find each other, like bats in the night. Now, they roam together during the midnight hour to create the cutest and creepiest content to tickle that inner demon inside all of us. Skulk around and take a stab at what we have to offer. The standards are designed to encourage equitable representation on and off screen in order to better reflect the diversity of the movie-going audience. Academy governors DeVon Franklin and Jim Gianopulos headed a task force to develop the standards that were created from a template inspired by the British Film Institute (BFI) Diversity Standards used for certain funding eligibility in the UK and eligibility in some categories of the British Academy of Film and Television (BAFTA) Awards, but were adapted to serve the specific needs of the Academy. ...

In honour of the upcoming Blu-ray release of Blood Diner from Vestron Video (review may or may not be done), Ryne Barber from The Moon is a Dead World and of course, your’s truly from Mind of Tatlock, chose to write up a list of ten diner scenes taking place in horror. The list isn’t meant to be a Top Ten (Chop Ten?) or anything, as some of the flicks listed would never end on it otherwise (cough Legion /end cough). Nevertheless, the below films all feature a diner scene that lent some importance to the film in one way or another. You’ll probably notice that our writing styles are different (i.e. Ryne is great at writing and I’m more on the “gooder” side of writing), but if you’re curious, the first five are from moi, and the next five are wonderfully written by Ryne. Having said all that, let’s order our meal and read on…
